Modesto Christian High School's CSF Chapter #971 seeks to recognize and celebrate the best students, leaders, and servants within the school community. Members of CSF maintain high grades, all A's and B's within each semester of membership.
CSF is the oldest scholastic, scholarship institution in California. It is nationally recognized by colleges, universities, and scholarship organizations. CSF emphasizes high standards of scholarship and community service for California high school students and encourages service to the school and community while fostering pride in academic scholastic achievement.
Membership Levels:
CSF membership is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester. In order to become a member, the student must submit an application in August/September of Fall semester and January of Spring semester. Students can become members as Freshmen (Associate Member), but need to become members as Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to qualify for certain awards and be recognized as a CSF member.

international thespian society
Members produce plays during fall and spring. The purpose is to promote the performing arts and an appreciation for theatre. Students will be involved in school productions (including on-stage or backstage roles), field trips to see professional groups perform, and present skits and scenes in chapel services. Members are required to participate in the fall and spring productions, Night at the Arts, and any fundraisers.
Membership is open to all MCHS students who meet the criteria above, complete an ITS application and pay the required dues. Membership in the ITS (International Thespian Society) is also included. Eligible students will receive graduation cords and honors.

INTERACT CLUB
Membership is open to all MCHS students who successfully submit an Interact application. Interact is sponsored by the Rotary Club which provides guidance on a continuous basis for secondary school-aged students. All Interact Clubs participate in at least two service projects yearly, one that serves the school or the community, and another that furthers international understanding. To remain an active member, each member must serve 15 hours of volunteer service in the community per semester. A formal report of hours served must be submitted to the advisor within one week of the final date of the volunteer activity. Interact Club is highly recognized by colleges and universities. MATH SUPER BOWL
Students compete in currently enrolled math course against students from across the country.
NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY (NAHS)
The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is a highly prestigious and well recognized organization and is associated with the National Art Educators Association, and gives student-artists the opportunity to be affiliated with thousands of students across the U.S. The goals of the club are to motivate students toward high achievement, provide opportunities for growth, character development, recognition, leadership, scholarship and service. NAHS is well recognized as an indication of excellence by colleges and universities. Interest in and appreciation of art are a must.
Club activities include fundraising, prop painting for drama, field trips, and service projects such as the "Memory Project".
Students must complete one semester of high school art with a grade of B or better, maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA, attend all meetings (during lunch, bi-monthly), participate actively in club events, and contribute 10 service hours each semester. Students should have plans to take more than one year of visual arts.
Students who wish to continue their art education beyond first year may have the opportunity to earn the NAHS cord and tassel upon graduation. All club criteria must be met to achieve this honor.

The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarships, to stimulate a desire to render service to promote leadership and to develop character in students. Students are selected by the NHS Committee comprised of teachers.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, creating a passion for learning science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science and education by both students and teachers. These goals are accomplished through classroom activities, research and encouragement of regional academic interscholastic tournaments.
